The Chamber Choirs of Perth Modern School were created to provide an opportunity for interested students to broaden their experience and develop their expertise in the genre of choral music making. Schola Cantori (SATB), Chorus Angelicus (female voices) and Phoenix (male voices) were initially formed by the current director three decades ago. Their concert programs include a diverse range of repertoire from a variety of cultural sources and from sacred and secular sources throughout the ages.
Celia teaches classroom music at Perth Modern School. In addition to her classroom teaching role she is responsible for four choirs and co-directs two Senior Wind Ensembles. Celia holds a Certificate in Music Education form the Kodaly Intezet in Hungary and a Masters Degree in Music Education with Kodaly Emphasis from Holy Names College , USA; and, has been awarded an ASG National Excellence in Teaching Award.
